全名Adele Laurie Blue Adkins.來自英國倫敦，也是The Brit School的傑出校友。除了和另一名倫敦創作歌手Kate Nash是同屆畢業生之外，也是Leona Lewis的同班同學(更別說還有學姐Amy Winehouse啦)。
Adele 不只精於唱歌.樂器及創作能力也很好,最早也是在Myspace靠著自己的DEMO帶吸引獨立大廠XL唱片的注意
Adele在2008年贏得BBC Sound of 2008潛力新星冠軍.當時媒體們就很看好這位超級新星.因為她也是第一屆全英音樂獎"樂評人選擇獎(Critic's Choice)在2008年新設立後的第一位得獎者
Adele除了得到「潛力新人獎」肯定之外也是BBC新聲音 Sound of 2008榜首
