lady antebellum懷舊女郎成軍於2006年，團員包括了鄉村歌手Linda Davis的女兒Hillary Scott，創作型歌手Josh Kelly的弟弟Charles Kelly，

以及他同校好友Dave Haywood。

樂團在2007年7月與Captiol唱片公司簽約，同一年，樂團獲邀在鋼琴音樂家Jim Brickman的抒情暢銷曲《Never Alone》擔任演唱，還為MTV頻道的實境影集【比佛利拜金女The Hills】跨刀創作插曲《Miles Away》。

Hillary Scott、Charles Kelly與Dave Haywood三人，在過去四年來、幾乎是每天聚在一起，不是一起寫歌、就是一起巡迴演唱，所以當他們在籌錄這張專輯時，

彼此在歌曲創作過程中、互動更加緊密，經常可以在歌曲的情感創作層面上，達到近乎心有靈犀一般的共鳴，甚至還會在寫歌空檔中，

針對每一個人在情感方面所遇到的問題進行討論，宛如像是小型情感諮詢聚會
